Default The car of the century

We have all talked about this car as being absolutely fantastic! WE ARE RIGHT! I truly love German engineering. This car handles like no other car I have ever owned.
Think about the Boxter, this is a wonderful car. It comes with an engion. What else does it come with? NOTHING! You pay more money for the Boxter thant the TT and you get less options.
My brother has a 1987 911 and it is an unbelievable ride. You accelerate into the turns as fast as you can and it is great.
The Boxter is considered our competitor, I considor it an ureasonable upgrade. TT THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTE.
Default Boxster...not Boxter (sorry...that bugs me when people get that wrong)

BTW, I don't totally agree with you....but I do think the TT is a better deal at $33,925 - 35,000....rather than the Boxster $42,000 - 52,000. I still need to get a ride...damn dealers can hold on to one for me to drive. :-(
Steve S.
97 A4 2.8QM

Default Re: Boxster..

Steve, I think you got some info. slightly off. A fully loaded Boxster can go for 68K+ .
A little more and you can get a far better car, a 911.

Default $68K...Yikes....give me a two year old 911 instead

I got that info from a friend of mine that has a boxster...that order sheet for the boxster must be a bitch...5 suspension packages...5 wheel tire packages....and the interior options...sheesh. I had no idea it could get all the way up to $68K though.
I am still thinking how they could range 10-12K.
Steve S.
97 A4 2.8QM

Default Factory custom paint job....... $3,000.

How's that for a start? I think Kelley's Blue Book has the full run down. Porsche's prices were always a little on the high side (smile).

Default Over $75 for a fully loaded Boxter... I think I'll take a TT!!!

I recently priced my own Boxter on the Porsche website and I got the retail up to $75,000! Geez, if I bought a loaded TT, I would have enough left over for a base Boxter!
