Car goes to ANOTHER shop today
getting the radiator and cylendar head power flushed... While i have my slight doubts that it will actually help, it just might do the trick.
when i got home last night i checked a theory by stationary revving the car to 2.5k RPMs and watched the temp needle come down from one tick high, HVAC came down pretty consistantly from 103 or 104 to 99 or 98 as well... Mind you this is at idle, where previously my car was running uberhot.
So cloggage is now a potential threat, and i'm going to cancel my radiator/t-stat order before the morning's up, i want to see if a power flush indeed helps.
It would seem that this is a compound issue, that a blockage in the radiator is preventing coolant from flowing that way, and a leaky bleeder valve might be letting excess air in the system where pressures are low on the output side of the radiator.
Hot coolant, coupled with the potential air bubbles in my system COULD produce a problem of this magnatude. I noted that last time when the car was apart and put back together (hoses checked for blockage, then they topped the G12 off and bled it) the car ran normal for a day or so before returning to it's retarded state.

you can see here what i'm talking about, not letting coolant go through the radiator would make hot coolant circulate...
Babied the car again this morning, ran it up to temp, it stayed there for a moment, climbed up a tick and back down for a few minutes before just cruising all the way to 7/8s and reading 121 on the HVAC... blew the heater on HI for a few minutes and the temp dropped to 101 instantly (no temps in between)... strange? yes.. but it most definitely could be an intermittent blockage causing the coolant temps to spike.
i'm willing to invest my $115 to investigate this potential culprit.

Colby.... assuming youve got blockage did they >>
check the impeller for the water pump ? (trying to follow your thread) Just thinking of what could have broken off and found its way to a small spot and caused some blockage
