Default Car Magazine

This may be old news, for which I apologise. I have just read Car magazine this month (UK) and it does a back to back test at Cadwell Park racetrack, with modified and un-modified 225 TT.

Conclusion, Old one without mods's is far superior car, new one has no feel to steering and generally dull to drive. UGGGH now what do I do. Mods or no Mods that is the question ?

RighTT on Steve J. I also read the hatchet job on the mod'd Coupe and almost got peeved before remembering that most of these UK reviewers are frustrated little pen-pushers who, like movie critics, are the frustrated palace eunuchs of our society. They watch but they don't do. The majority are sad concensus-followers, desperately following the majority opinion - and the author of this article epitomizes this sad breed. The UK auto press has developed a bias against the TT, and I strongly advise taking their scribbles with a large pinch of salt. This is a great vehicle in all forms and keeps it just keeps getting better.

Default CAR magazine printed a frontpiece

That supported the TT 2 or 3 months back.

I don't see how you can say they are against it. They also picked it as their best "mortal" car in their drive-off on a track. (mortal meaning not $100K+). They gushed over it. Since they had also driven a Bora (Jetta) 4Motion in the same article and remarked that even though the cars are very similar underneath, the TT was just out of this world on the track and the Bora wasn't.
