Default center exhaust hanger

I purchased the center exhaust bracket and rubber hanger. Do I need bolts to attach the bracket? Thanks.

No, there are bolts already there. Just did it a couple of weeks ago.

Default Here they are...

BRACKET: 8N0 253 461 C
RUBBER : (180) 1H0 253 147 B
(225) 1J0 253 147 C
BOLTS : N-900-744-01 (4 of them, not needed 'cause they should already be there)

Someone posted the part number 1J0 253 147 D for the 225 rubber, perhaps an improved item? Check with dealer first.

Default thanks.....I need to look into this as now that the weather is getting

colder, the exhaust has become more resonant and I would like to see if this helps

Default Well, my resonance disappeared from 3k rpm after the installation, but now appears at lower rpm.

Also, when driving under rain, the whole exhaust resonates badly and makes contact with the underbody.

A real can of worms.

Good luck!

Default If I remember right . . . the Fwd does not have this hanger . . .

When I did Kim's exhaust the bottom of her car was nothing even close to the TTQ. The place where the center hanger would go is about where the Fwd exhaust turns 90* to the drivers side. Plus the Fwd has the belly pan there as well.

If you are getting resonance I would check the area from the downpipe to the cat.

Default Options?

My exhaust (miltek) resonates around 3.5K RPM. The clearance from the heat shields and the body of the car is pretty good. I installed the center hanger and still no change. Are there any other options?

I've tried just about everything with no improvement. Sorry.
