Default Check this out.

I don't know if anyone posted this yet but here it goes. I saw it on TrucksTV on TNN. It's basically a Y connector on your exhaust with an electric switch that redirects exhaust flow to one of two openings. This would work out for any TT Quattro because of the room underneath the rear. You could connect the driver's side exhaust outlet without a muffler and then your muffled exhaust to the passenger side outlet.

While everyday driving flip the switch to the muffled position from inside the car. When at the track or when your on the street and you just want to awaken your sleeper, flip the switch to straight pipes!

http://www.dougsheaders.com/online_store/product_detail.cfm?id=216</a

go fast, turn left. BTW- it would not work on a TT quattro.

I haven't tried it. It was just an idea, but do you care to explain?

Default 1. There is no real room under the 225 quattro for this. 2. We don't have dual exhausts...

in the true sense of the word.

You say that "You could connect the driver's side exhaust outlet without a muffler and then your muffled exhaust to the passenger side outlet."

You can't make it work like that with the stock cat-back or an after-market cat-back.
One large dia. tube feeds a muffler perpendicular to the pipe.
The muffler has two outputs, but they are both connected to the muffler.

Default Sorry I wasn't clear.

I was thinking of custom cut and bent piping from the cat back, and a decent small muffler off the shelf.
