Clear lens tail lights & the timing belt question
Has anyone seen/got a pic of a red roadster with the black 'altezza' tail lights?
I am seriously considering them, because the black housing would match the black housing on the headlights...also it seems that there are now some available with dual reverse lights, [symmetrical/mirror image taillights unlike the Euro models with one white reverse light and one red fog lamp].
Also intend to redo the exhaust valence to the black honeycomb and get the debadged black grill. and [after i replace the timing belt] I may go for some black 19" rims...but would like to see a red roadster with these mods before i do it...
As to the timing belt...I bought the car certified used from Audi Hawaii, [35K miles, '01] w/ 2yrs/100Kmiles warranty...and after reading all the hoohah about the timing belt I asked the dealer what their position was. They said THEY [Audi Hawaii] reccomend changing the belt etc at 60K miles [NOT 105K], and that they would NOT cover it if it broke earlier...so $1500- bucks there....oh well, I've had it a month and I'm already addicted, sooooo, I guess I'll just have to give up smoking pot for a while and save some dough
