Default Cluster trouble advice

I believe I have the cluster display bug noted elsewhere in the forum (top 1/3 shuts off after 15-20 secs) I tried the fuse reset, but problem reappeared. I am planning on taking it in to the dealer, and my question is this. I also have the Lockwood white dials installed. I had this done by a Spedo shop as I am not technically adept. Will this in any way affect my chances of getting the display fixed under warranty? Note the dials were installed over a year ago with no issues. Do you know if the entire cluster will need to be replaced. If so, will I be able to get my dials back? Any advice before I proceed to the dealership?

Default If I were you, I'd put back the OEM dial face before going to the dealer.

Yes, the entire cluster needs to be replaced.

How mod-friendly is your dealer?
They are gonna question you, and possibly toss your warranty on the cluster, if they know you opened it.

Default follow up question

I have been to the dealership many times before for other issues (including once within the last 2 months), so I'm not sure if they have noted them before. Also, is there a way to tell how recently the cluster was unplugged? The dials were originally installed over a year ago and not touched since. If I have the originals replaced, will it show that the cluster was recently removed?

Default Well, if they replace your cluster, they will send the damaged one back to Audi...

SOP under warranty.
How you gonna get the dial faces back then?
Ask the Service Tech. to give you the old cluster for a few minutes?
Spare yourself some grief and replace the gauge faces.
