Default Clutch Problem

I did a search and did not find anyone posting this problem before, but it seems I can't be the first to experience this (or else it's so basic no one else bothered to post it).

A 2001 QC 225 with 16,000 miles. Problem just started yesterday. When the engine and transmission are cold the clutch works, however, the clutch pedal will not come all the way back up when I take my foot off the pedal. It stops halfway and I have to pull it all the way up with my toe. When the engine and tramsmission warm up, the clutch pedal comes half way up, pauses for a second or two, then comes the rest of the way up. No problem with shifting gears, etc.

Has anyone else encountered this or have any idea what might be wrong? TIA.

Default I heard of this once before on this Forum. But alas, I don't remember if any solution...

If it is convenient, I'd take it to the dealership. I'm sorry I don't have better advice.
Good Luck!

Dealer is getting me in on Tuesday, I'm trying to get a second opinion in advance. (Dealer said they never heard of it but thought it was okay to drive. I asked if it would have the same effect as riding the clutch if I did not pull the pedal up and the dealer had no clue.) I did a search back to January 1, 2001 and did not see this listed, but I could have missed it.

Default I think it is a very difficult thing to search for since I'm unimpressed with the search capability.

If I were in your shoes, I'd test the clutch on a hill to see if it slip uner full throttle. If you don't sense any slip then you are OK until the appointment. Otherwise you could insist on a loaner from them I think.

I keyed on the word "clutch" and read some interesting discussions on double clutching, dumping the clutch and frying clutches, but did not see this. I have not noticed any change in performance.

Found it, thanks. I'll see if my dealer comes to same conclusion.
