Default Coilover install...for those who have bought them...did you diy? If so, how hard was it?

I'm considering doing it myself.

I've also been quoted $225 for the install,
if I decide to go that route is that a reasonable price for the install?

I've got the wrenches but don't have the compression tool. Still researching what other tools I might need.

Input would be greatly appreciated.
TIA.

Default that's a reasonable install price. I was going to DIY, but after I lifted

the rear and tried to break the bolts and nuts loose, couldn't do it for the life of me. so I decided to bag it.

I have a pair of spring compressors (brand new) if you're interested. it was for my DIY which I didn't do. email me.

Default thats a reasonable price...

we did the DIY route and while we hit a few snags i did enjoy it.

Default look at these tools also.

one on the left is used to spread the bottom flange to release the strut tower.

Used the socket to do this.

Default i did it with a few

other AWers who had some experience but on a4s.

im sure it can be done be yourself, but it would def be alot easier with at least one more person.

i know i was sore the next day from loosening/tightening some of those bolts

Default thanks Jeff!

I bookmarked the coilover install you posted a while back. I will use that and any other resources I can find.

Also planning to do a big brake install. Just bought Wilwoods. Too bad the Bee-otch garage is so far away. I'm by no means a gearhead but hopefully I'll be able to figure things out.
