Coolant Temperature guage reading 1 tick past the middle
#12
Yeah, but as Schwing said, it sounds like you're running normal.....
Turn on the climate control. Simultaneously hit the "rercirc" and "up" arrow button at the same time, release. You will see a "1C" in the window. Use the temp control **** to scroll the number up to "49c". Press the "recirc" button one more time. You will now be displaying coolant temp in centigrade.
Normal temps are around 90-105. Even creeping up to 110 sitting still is not that big a deal as when the fan kicks on, it should creep back down.

check your temp via HVAC to see if its in range...
otherwise, could be a cluster issue. when i had that problem, everytime i started the car from a cold start, it would already be one tick up...and when operating at normal temps, it would be 1 tick up as well (over 12 o'clock). i finally got my cluster fixed before my warranty ran out.

yup. when i pulled my waterpump out after 35K miles, it was totally cracked with some
pieces missing. i'm actually glad i did the TB early...could have ended up with a big problem if i let it go until 60K.
