Default Cooper S as fast as out TT's???

I am picking up a Cooper S in a months time. Can't decide if I should keep the TTR 225Q as well. Has any of you driven the Cooper S? How does it compare to our cars? Does it feel as fast? I will like to keep both, but financially it makes sense to sell the TT. However if the Cooper S doesn't live up to expectation then I will keep the TT.

Default I haven't driven one, but my understanding is...

That it's not as fast. One of the major car mags just tested the Mini Cooper S at 7.2 0-60. However, that doesn't mean it's not a very fun car to drive, which I understand it is.

Default I don't know about just as fast, but on the Deals Gap day, the guy with the yellow Mini Cooper,

that lead a few of us around on some of the other roads in the area, was flying. The car has 163 hp I believe, but weighs very little, and has the wheels right at the corners, so it handles really well. I definitely had much more power (especially since I'm a chipped 225 w/exhaust), but you could tell that the Cooper is much lighter, and more nimble. Now, if you put a wheel off or you're in the rain, or something like that, give me the TT with Quattro any day, but the car looks like a hell of a lot of fun to drive.

The roads he lead us on were all the equal of Deals Gap, some even better and mor epicturesque. Because there were only 7 of us, we were flying. It was one hell of a day.

I have driven it in Europe last August, very comparable to our cars.

It definitely doesn't accelerate like a 225 TT, but I'd say it outhandles a TT easily.
