Default the cost of bodywork

I'm amazed at the cost of small cosmetic repairs. A few months ago I had a ding in the door fixed ($800) and this week I am having the front fender lip repaired ($1,200). This last one is startling, given the construction of the TT's fender. Maybe the body shop is too fussy, but they claim to have to do extensive repainting of the surrounding parts etc.

I'm only paying the deductible, so it's not a big deal, and the work is excellent, but have others seen these kinds of prices out there?

Default Explain the front fender lip repair.

I had to replace a rim, repaint the bumper and quarter panel -- $1,300. It sounds a little pricey. You should get a bunch of estimates.

Default $1,779.45 for my front bumper last week.

It's expensive because you have to paint and replace the whole of the front.

This price also included the grille assembly and the A/C condenser
