I can't find any difference... other than J is listed for your car.

Default The description comes up identical., I can locate the J on a 2001 TT, but I can't locate the model

that uses the N.

Default looks like the N is not compatible with the other half of the stalk ...

basically, the two stalks mate in such a way that the N and J are not compatible. could be that switching to two N's would work fine, but i guess i'll just keep with J.

It's the signal stalk switch on the column.

for the archives: correction: they are compatible. it seems the J has superseded the N
