Default Crazy Strut Question

I have noticed that the lower front strut is clamped in place by the hub mount. What actually does the lower stut (the tube below shock/spring) have inside. If it was a tube, couldn't you theoretically lower the car by cutting off the bottom of the strut tube and re-clamping it? Just a wild thought. Thanks

Default You don't think there is at least 2" of space at the end?
