Default I drive with mine almost all the way down
It telescopes as well...

I find there is a limited range that allows me to read the gauges, and it's not the most comfortable

i have it all the way down, and pulled all the way out towards the driver

I have it in the middle, so that it does not cover ANY of the guages- even the chrome rings around
