Default ...

Other things:
MAF could be starting to go
Could have a small leak somewhere (you don't drive hard so you may not notice)

If you can get the car scanned, there may be codes stored even if the MIL is not lit

Default When did you last clean the "filter on a stick"...>>

In addition to everything else mentioned, That filter location in the lower grill is subject to an incredible amount of road junk and dirt. If you haven't touched it in a year, I can pretty much guarantee it's not flowing a lot of air at this point...

You didn't mention the total miles on the car which will directly impact recommendations on sensor, plugs and 02 replacement..

Default On my 4500 mile round trip to and from TT-West, I noticed better mileage...

...the further west we went. I don't know if the lower humidity out west helped the mpg, or if it was different gas formulations out west.

I averaged 27.5 going across Nebraska on the way out and North/South Dakota on the way back.
..averaged about 30-31 mpg way out west.

Default What is the "filter on the stick?"

What is the "filter on the stick?"

80k on the engine.

Last time dealer serviced the car was 50k.

Never had any noticable performance issues or engine problems...even now with the MPG issue.
