its coming from so thought I'd check with you guys to see if anyone had fixed any leaks in that area.

Thanks.

Intake? There are 2, 7-8 mm hoses there. Any one could be bad.

Do I have to pull the manifold to change them?

Default There's also this guy that connects up to the troublesome U shaped rubber

piece on the passenger side of the intake manifold.

I can't imagine replacing it without pulling the manifold.

Default *Maybe not*, but you will need to remove the plate that holds the dipstick. they are under that.

you will need to look under that, and perhaps feel around for them
Under that plate is this vac. switch too.

Default Thanks. From what I've noticed during the test, the leak seemed to be very deep under the mani, so

maybe this is it. Reason I'm asking all of this is, if I need to pull that manifold, I might as well install a phenolic spacer :-). Huge leak though...I can hardly believe I'm holding 17psi with that much pressure loss.

Default i just fixed one yesterday from that same area

<center><img src="http://images9.fotki.com/v199/photos/4/435091/2380236/19Readyforreinstallation-vi.jpg?1161313779"></center><p>
i took the mani off and put in a phenolic while i was in there. there are a bunch of hoses under there. even once i put the new hose in i found that the hose it was attached to had issues. right now it's not leaking and the car is holding 18 almost to redline. it pulls like crazy. i don't think it's ever been right since i had it chipped.

do you see the hose that has the small braided hose attached clipped to it on the bottom of the pic? it was split and then the larger one (with hose clamp around it) that it's attached to gave me fits. that's probably where your leak is. email me for details if you want. thanks MCP for the pic and yes you do have to take off the manifold.

Default yep I see it, could very well be it. I'm getting a final checkup done at the dealer before my

CPO runs out. So I'll ask them to fix it. I'm pissed though cause I know I've had this leak for a long time and I've asked dealers to do a pressure test on more than one occasion and they said they couldn't find any leaks. I just hope that they will install the phenolic spacer for me while they are in there. Did you have to portmatch your spacer or did it go on as is? If there is any extra work associated with making sure that the spacer fits properly, I'd rather do it myself.

Default it will fit properly no matter if you gasket match or not. i didn't match

i wasn't comfortable taking that much material out of my engine head b/c i too still have CPO for another year. i also didn't see much advantage in doing it other than less turbulence. there seem to be other restrictions there. i couldn't find a dremel bit to work to my liking on scrap aluminum so i didn't do it. the car feels faster than ever now. it spun the tires halfway though second in a turn. hopefully i can get the **** to finally work now that the boost leaks are gone. and hopefully none come back but i bet they will
