Do newer TT's (2003-up) have water pumps with metal impellers?

My belief is that they build their cars to last reliably through the warranty period and thats it
Think about it. They build cars for a living. Having their product last for 10 yrs is the last thing they would want to have happen.
At the same time, they must create the illusion of a quality product in order to compete with the other guys.
Their target customer is the guy who relies entirely on the dealer for support and buys a new car every 3 to 5 years.
So what you end up with is a very pretty, very plastic, piece of crap...Kinda like Hollywood.

that makes perfect sense but the cars are falling apart before that period of time...
they could at least try to keep the illusion going for 3-5 years. I'd be happy.
Instead, I've had issues with the glove box, window, window regulator, convertible top, buttons falling off, keys rubbing off the radio, swaybar creaks, shocks gone after a year, cluster failures. They can't possibly be making a profit having all those items fixed under warranty. Makes no sense!
Lexus also targets the same market. Their cars don't fall apart. The target market just likes new things every few years. Beyonnnd that period the cars are still functional don't give as much headaches and are as reliable as Toyotas. Maybe it's just a german car thing. Go figure.
Btw, how have you been? Did you get my e-mail?
