Default does chip really make that big difference?

or I am not sensitive enough?

I sat in chipped TT (APR) and test-drove chipped TT (Revo), I didnt feel that big difference. Well, little bit faster, but if I dont know its chipped, I might not be able to tell the difference.

I test drove C32 (o-60 about 5secs?), also didnt feel that much difference..well maybe because its non-turbo, so the acceleration is smoother? or 1-2 secs difference in 0-60 doesnt really that noticeable?

Default its pretty easy to feel the difference on my car when i turn back to stock

i had it set to stock when i went for in for my last servicing, and removed the dongle from the car.

i had it in my apt and kept forgetting to bring it back down, so i drove in stock mode for a bout a week. when i turned it back on, man what a difference, just like the first day i got it

Default You're joking right? Seriously, this is the biggest bang for your buck, bar none.

If you have a 180hp, you will get some badly need power and torque almost similar to the stock 225hp TT. If you have a 225hp, you will turn your TT into a serious Boxter S challenger. If you can't feel the difference in a chipped 225hp, there is something wrong with you or the car ... no offense, but it is that much of an impact!

BTW, my car is Revo'd and I could not be happier. Plus, it is much "cleaner" of an install than soldering chips in your ECU!

Good luck.

Default I just searched the forum for Revo...

The first review I read from "jeffery..." sounded great! then i came upon argument after argument about revo vs. apr. Does this fight still exist?

Neither have the 3.2 programming, but I'm still trying to get my research in so when they do release it, I'll have some idea of who to go with.

TIA!

Maybe a test drive isn't enough for comparison. Huge difference to me!

Default I drove my TT and my partner's C32 almost back to back yesterday...

Different animals truthfully...

However, APR is the weakest chip.. and REVO is not that powerful either.. similar stuff.

Go Dahlback or GIAC.. then feel the power.

Default REVO vs GIAC

I think REVO is purposefully conservative. They go for better efficiency over raw power. When I had the 5 hour test I got better gas mileage than stock but still had better power throughout the gear range. I'm guessing the GIAC and/or Dahlback are more geared towards the people who like to feel the surge in the Butt dyno. I'm guessing that REVO is gentler on the existing mechanical parts and doesn't necessitate a massive changing of other parts to keep up with the new chip. If all you want to do is chip, go REVO. If you keep reaching for more and more power you might try the other chips.

Default 33+mpg highway here...

I disagree with your last comment: "If all you want to do is chip, go REVO. If you keep reaching for more and more power you might try the other chips."

Both because REVO offers SPS3 making it adjustable and the fact that some other chip companies like Dahlback offer staged chips.
