Default Don't you hate when the service manager doesn't listen.

My signal lights died yesterday and I did a search and found the probable cause on this very informative forum. I dropped the car off this morning and told him "my signal lights died and the emergency flasher switch and relays need to be replaced". He calls me at work at 4:30 pm to tell me "the emergency flasher switch and relays need to be replaced". Naturally, they didn't have the part so I'm in a dog of a Chevy Cavalier. I hope I don't have this dog for the weekend.

You're lucky that he at least agreed with you.

Default I called Monday and had them order the hazard switch assembly - taking >>

car in today. Of course I called to make sure they had the part in. They are replacing the relay while I wait. Service manager says it'll take half an hour tops. All this under my cpo warranty.

They do this to me all the time-I brought my car in, said "Haldex isn't working", they pulled a code, agreed, and said "make an appointment".

Made appointment, left car, came back, and they said "Haldex doesn't work-you need to make an appointment".

They did change the oil...

i think it might be a means of charging labour to AoA...i.e. fraud.

Default Same thing happened with my MAF sensor.

Given the CEL error code, I asked them to change the MAF.

First they charged me for a coolant temp sensor. When that didn't work, then they finally listened to me and replaced the MAF under warranty. Voila.
