Default DV relo????'s

I have wanted to do this mod for a while. Now that I have the modshack Stage II I actually need to get a new DV to get rid of the coke bottle sound... I want to do the sfs group buy, but I really have no clue as to what I actually need to complete this. I also need to get a new DV. I went through Schwings and MCPaudiTT's Fotki to really try to understand what all I need. I like the looks of the Greddy(MCPaudiTT's fotki) but what is the best as far as being the best dv and/or price.

What I am working with to start: Stock intake hose, stock dv, VTDA, ****, and stock intercoolers on a 225.

To simplify the question... I am wondering what the round about cost for all the part needed to do this mod. I also want to know what the best overall dv would be to add to the dv relo kit.

I really would like to do this if I can so any help in this area would be great... Thanks

Default Start with any aftermarket DV...

From there, wait to see what the MCPi DV relo kit is going to entail.

If you look at Schwing's Fotki, you'll see that the inlet pipe requires cutting and shaping. The SFS T-pipe is absolutely the way to go here. Another good fotki to check out is RoberTT. He did the Forge DV kit his on a 180, the writeup he did was very helpful in any regard.

You can use just about any aftermarket DV for this purpose. I've got a 007 at present and am having no issues with it. Your two choices here are going to be piston or diaphragm type DVs...the piston is a litte tougher, but a little slower at the same time...opinions vary, but anything you get aftermarket is going to be just fine for this purpose.

There is no need to move into any hoses at this point other than the SFS t-hose everyone's talking about. I did the Forge kit and had issues cutting into a Samco intake pipe which resulted in the eventual destruction of the pipe (don't ask, it was me being an idiot) The SFS pipe eliminates the need to cut and clamp and seal because it's all one piece. Your concerns from there are going to be what's inside the MCPi kit...which I'm guessing is going to be EVERYTHING given the quality of the other products like the Defcon kits.

Overall cost could be anywhere from $350 to $500, depending on the group-buy price and the DV you go with. It's a worthwhile mod, no doubt, just another price to be incurred. For the moment, go find yourself the DV you like...once the group buy goes, installations and results are what everyone will be talking about.

Default I've got the SFS setup from Mike's last groupbuy if you want to check it out

Last time, everything that was required was included in the kit.

Default Dude......

that hose is WAY long. You can fit it right under the intake with a complete straight shot.

Default

It seems too rigid to do that without an additional 90^ bend which I haven't sourced yet

apparently it works fine.
