dv valve

I would say yes. >>>
The OE valve is plastic. I recommend chipping this car even if you aren't going to go mod crazy. Once you chip it you will realize how much of a slug it really was stock.

If it ain't broke...
and it is less likely to go bad if you aren't chipped, anyway. If you aren't getting inconsistent boost when cycling on and off the throttle, honking or moany kind of noises form under the hood when getting back ont he gas, then oyur DV is most likely fine. You may want to ensure you have the updated factory part - the part number ends with "710 N". That should be fine for your situation.

You won't.
Most of the people on this board are probably chipped, and a great many are getting warranty service done, including myself. Probably the vast majority are, if they are still eligible for their warranties, time/mileage wise. My dealer is well aware of my chip, and probably some of my other mods.
Your dealer may refuse to carry out certain repairs if they feel the chip caused the problem, and while nullification of the warranty isn't impossible, it is not something they can unilaterally do simply becaue you've chipped your car.

And if you go the "Revo" route, the dealer cannot detect it.
Other than your car will drive like a "bat out of hell".
Revo is "non invasive" ... it requires no BS soldering or ECU removal but just a simple upload from the delaer's PC via your OBD port under your dashboard.

... fix it anyway ! ;-) If your satisfied with the way it's running...
& don't want to spend money there's no point. I drove my car stock for at least a year. In my case an aftermarket DV seemed to make the car perform much better. With the old DV there was a sudden loss of power at around 5K.If your not experiencing that why bother?I didn't chip until recently.Glad I did though & no problems. Just be aware that buying the first mod is like taking the first hit on a crack pipe. You will want more & more!
