engine coolant
Does anyone know why Audi/VW specifies a phosphate free coolant for their engines? I recently had a radiator replaced and the shop filled the radiator with regular "green" fluid (even though I had placed the approved coolant and distilled water to be used in the front seat). I haven't drained and refilled the radiator yet and I've noticed that the car is running much cooler. I think this probably has more to do with the new radiator than the coolant change.
