Engine Coolant Temperature

Engine Coolant Temperature
Recently I have noticed that my temperature gauge in my dash cluster has been fluctuating between the mid-point and one bar above. Watching the OBD code 49c the coolant temperature seems to swing between 94 and 105. Is this a normal swing for coolant? What temperature at the high end would signal a problem? It appears that at highway speeds the temperature is somewhat consistent at 97-98. Any thoughts, does the GIAC chip make the engine run hot?

The guys at PES said there should double no noticable difference.
But maybe I'll keep an eye on mine this weekend.
How do you get in and out of the OBD mode again? Recirc and up arrow?

Re: Engine Coolant Temperature
I have a new Roadster (stock) which does the same thing. I had a coupe and didn't notice this but then again it was colder weather. Also my gas guage does not register until after about 30 seconds after starting the engine when it's cold. I'm going to have it checked on Wed. Any comments?
Thanks
