Engine Temperature
The temp sensor is at the engine block, close to the thermostat area.
When you shut off a hot car, the temps in the engine block are naturally gonna rise.
As soon as you start the car, or turn on the water temp gauge, it reads hot.
Supposed to, as it's reading the elevated tempos in the engine.
Start the car, and the water circulates, and the temps in the engine drop.
Got it?
I have found that turning on the A/C that it will bring down the temperature quicker. (Kirby was first to note this.)
