Engine Trouble

My 02 tt coupe's turbo fan just blew into pieces as i was driving and the bits of fan went into the engine a scoured every piston. its 8,000 to get a new engine and i would also have to replace the clutch and all the plates

Sounds like a deal, cost me 10 for a new motor... and that was after the 15% discount!

Wear and Tear... Good oil... Or get a 3.2 :)

Mine almost went out on me, I lost an impellar about 6 months ago. Kept hearing this loud shreeeeeking sound, along with boost loss... Took it in immediately and my buddy swapped out the turbos.

The KKK turbos have plain bearings not ball bearings and ...

when the bearing wears the wheel starts to "wobble", usually manifested in the oil seal going south causing smoking at idle and decelleration. If not fixed (replaced) the wheel wobbles to the point of impacting the housing at 18000 rpm - boom. When I pulled my K03 (replaced w/K04) the wheel wobbled to within 5 thousanths of the housing.
