ESC module
I just found out my ESC module is going bad and it cost $1300. I know you need it to help stability of the car when your driving but has anyone had the same problem? Also has anyone removed it and drives without it?

You mean ESP? If so, it is integrated with ABS - you can't remove one without
the other. Traction control is in the list as well. You can drive without it - cars didn't have them for almost a century. That said, you can likely get one from a wrecked TT, or have yours rebuilt for much less than a new one.

Man, I really appreciate the link. I haven't looked at the manual to change out this part, do you think its difficult to remove and replace

The hydraulic unit is pretty easy to get to and replace. You will need a VAGCOM
when you put the next one in, as you will have air in the hydraulic unit that you will need to purge. You can cycle the pump with VAGCOM.
