Default ESP light, running out of options?

Ok. I've been chasing this ESP light for years and I feel like I'm running short here. I have: cleaned, even replaced the MAF, replaced all the spark plugs, coil packs, replaced the brake switch, replaced both up line and downline O2 sensors over the course of two years...this f@#$ing light is still coming on intermittently, then staying on for the rest of my drive. I don't have VAGCOM available and the nearest dealership is about 30 miles away. Does anyone have suggestions for what I could check next?

I have a 2001 TT and my light intermittently comes on as well; my OBD devise does not yield any fault codes, and I am stumped as well.

Use VCDS, not a generic scan tool that only reads SAE fault codes. ESP light is not a check engine light so the MAF, spark plugs, coil packs, brake light switch and Oxygen sensors usually have nothing to do with the ESP light.

More than likely, your Steering Angle Sensor is out of adjustment (was steering rack replaced and steering wheel moved? If so, readjust and calibrate. You must use VCDS or the dealer VAS tool. If not, it could be a bad sensor.

I had these symptoms years ago and it was an acceleration sensor. Light would come on sometime when the car hit a bump. Also when braking. Turning ignition off and back on would reset it. No code was displayed unless I scanned the car while running after light came on. I changed both sensors and it has been good for over 10 years. About 75000 miles and lots of track time. Lots of info on the UK forum.

Which sensors did you change exactly?
Thanks!
