There should be a light in the instrument that lights up when it is....
engaged and active. It only lights up when it is activly taking control. Otherwise there is no indication. The button on your dash is to turn it OFF. Otherwise it is not lit. I have been told it is very hard to activate it.
I had the option for the ESP upgrade, but I decined it, since I drove a 5000 Turbo Quattro, and have NO problems in any type of snow, etc. So I decided that it would be a waste of money, but an intresting proposition.
