Default Ethics question here concerning shipping parts to fellow TT'er....

As some of you may know, I am selling an intercooler kit to a fellow TT'er here in our forums. Well the kit arrived today and I am ready to ship. I received a confirmation from Paypal stating the the full amount was pending to me because it was paid by E-Check...as soon as the e-check clears, the funds are put into my Paypal account. This process could take 4 business days or so...

The question is *Do I ship the intercooler today or do I wait until the funds clear?" Part of me thinks that I should since he took a leap of faith to send me the money without his goods and the other part of me thinks, what if the funds didn't clear? I would be screwed then...

opinions?

Default I always wait for checks to clear unless I really know the person well. If he wanted it...

...sooner, he should have paid with a credit card or something. This is just SOP w/ selling things on-line IMO.

Default Since it's Ross, though....

....you should wait until it clears and then wait another couple of days just for the hell of it.

Default Depends how well you 'know' them. But for the amount of money involved, I'd advise waiting just to

avoid any unintended mix-ups (i.e., if something unexpected happened and the payment needed to be redone). Avoids the potential for bad feelings, even if there were no bad intent.
