Euro mirrors installed...
Finally got up the courage to install the euro styled side view mirrors last night. It wasn't that difficult to do, just needed to be persistent.
Took the TT to work this am. After getting over the "swimming in a fish bowl" feeling when looking in the left mirror, I'm really liking them.
I told a friend last week when he asked me about the blind spots on the TTR and I told him "anywhere behind me" ;-) The new mirrors make that statement obselete.

I adjust the OEM mirrors thusly.........
Hold head close to raied DS window. Adjust outward until rear-quarter just disappears.
Hold head over centerline tunnel, and adjust PS mirror the same (just!).
Plenty of overlap, no blind spots. Done this for years, including during SCCA events. No scrapes casued by loss-of-view, and I can track from peripheral-vision-left to peripheral-vision-right. Nearly 180* visibility.

I had the OEM adjusted similarly, and usually had no problems expect when I am driving tired...
then, I make mental errors or dont keep track of my surroundings. Drive someone elses TT that has the mirrors and you will see the difference it makes. Simply amazing imo. I said before that I dont think that a housefly can fit in the blindspot...I mean it!

I think the adjustment is simply changing your "focus lenght" when looking in the Euros
used to be that I would look from straight ahead to side mirrors simply by moving my eyes/head.
now it requires the change in focus. you get used to is very quickly. the rear view mirror has the same focal lenght as the US side mirrors I think.
