Is this a failed DV?
Just today, I started to hear fast, multiple repetitions of psst, psst, psst's when I depress the clutch to shift. It's as if the car is sputtering or coughing the air when I depress the clutch to shift.
Is this a faulty DV or possibly as cracked hose somewhere? I am still under warranty and the car is 100% stock except of a K&N air filter.
I wanted to have some kind of idea of the problem before taking the car in for service.
I know 'cause I have a very stiff DV from a 996 GT2 that causes the wastegate to open instead when boost is low. Sounds exactly like you described.
I'll let them do one replacement so the car has a record, but I'll be moving to the Forge Race DV soon. I'll need it when I chip it anyway. No better time than the present to start modding.
Thanks again!
Check all your hose going/coming to both the DV and N75 valve.
To avoid this problem in the future I'm going to move toward a Forge Race DV. Steve (TTschwing) liked this model and that's good enough for me to give it a try.
Thanks for the replies!
