The New Jersey Chapter of the Audi Club of North America presents
our Third Annual "Firecracker Road Rally" to be held on Saturday,
June 26th, 2004. This will be a continental road rally and should
be both challenging and good fun so sign up today! We will start
this year in in Bridgewater, N.J. at 12:30pm with the first car
off at 1pm. The rally will be an enjoyable drive over some of the
more beautiful back roads our state offers and should take
approximately 2-3 hours to complete. There are multiple restaurant
choices available near the start and you will
also be able to grab something to eat or drink while you wait for
your competition to finish the rally. All entrants will be given
detailed directions to the starting location and a short list of
food choices in the immediate vicinity.

What? You don't know what a continental road rally is? Well,
neither did I until I participated in one and had so much fun I
got hooked on 'em! A continental road rally is run over a pre-
defined route on public roads (this time in Somerset & Hunterdon
Counties) combining scorable elements of time, mileage, and
observation (questions to be answered based on objects encountered
on the route - such as signs, landmarks, etc.). We try very hard
to make the route instructions clear so no one gets lost! ;^) (A

There are two competition "classes" being run:
* Primary (Red) class is for two-person teams (aka the TT class)
* Touring (Blue) class is for more-than-two-persons per car

There will be no entry fee but there will be a maximum of 30 cars
that can run the rally, so let me know if you want to join in. A
signed waiver will be required of all competitors before starting.

if you would like to compete. Be sure to indicate if you have a
team (name all members) or would like to be a navigator or driver
on a team to be formed on the day of the rally. (If you are one
of the latter then be sure to arrive by 12:30pm on Rally Day!)
