First post!! Swapping a 225 TT engine into my.....
Whats up guys? After reading your posts for about 3 hours now I figured I'd step in to say hello and ask a question. I'm planning on swapping in a 225 TT engine into my 2000 2.0 Jetta (slightly modded). I'd also like to swap the 6 spd tranny in as well.
My question is what is what kind of power increase can I get out of a 225 TT with a chip, exhaust, etc? Also, what all is offered for the 1.8T besides chips, exhausts, intakes and what not?
My plan is to chip it/boost controller it, construct an exhaust, possibly make an intake, and fit some slightly more aggressive cams if possible.
Has anyone modded a TT 225 yet? If so, what are your comments on the moddifications you've done?

Someone put this engine into a GTI, if you search the archives i am sure you can find it. Many people here, including myself, are running 265-275 HP with chip/exhaust/intake on our 225s, and with stage III not to far away 310 HP is in site.
You are taking on ALOT of work to swap the engines, best of luck.

I did a search befire and I found little information.
I talked with the guy that did the swap into a Golf (Gary Handa, great guy) and he was able to help me out a bit with the installation details.
Engine swaps? I've done a few. I've VR6ed a couple of A2 VW's and put a flat 6 from an old Porsche into a '71 VW Fastback. My only concern really is the wiring and tranny.

nothin much....
I still hang around here alot... cause I originally wanted a TT 
I think my GTI will be here mid to end of november!!! its on the assymbly line right now
hope you find the info your looking for! maybe try emailing HPA... I bet they would have the info you need
