just bought my first TT 2001 225 silver with blue interior. i love it so far.
just wondering about how to modify it. i know ill want a new radio head unit (flip out perfered)

other than that idk if i want to start with the engine doing turbos intakes or intercoolers or start on the exhaust system

any ideas or suggestions are appreciated!

First thing I would suggest is to drive it stock for a bit to get a feel for it and appreciate the car; Audi makes a great vehicle (admittedly I'm a euro freak). The first thing I did was a cold air intake, its super easy to do and the sound you get from it is awesome. After that I got a new diverter valve, even easier to do than the intake. Then I would say do an ECU tune either through APR or Revo. Its the best bang for your buck power upgrade. Again these are all nice begginer upgrades that don't require you to be a master mechanic. Do these 3 things and it will be like driving a whole new car

Default First make sure the timing belt has been changed in the past 5 years or 60K

Otherwise the $5K you have budgeted for mods is going to pay for a repair

i wasn't planning on doing anything right away winters in wisconsin will give me enough time to adjust to the car and get more familiar with it and ill start doing mods in the spring when it gets warmer out. thatll give me enough time to make sure everything is running as it should be as well. i work at the vw dealership as a detailer so i would have help from techs if needed
