Default Fitting Dashboard Button Caps

Has anyone fitted the aluminium Dashboard Button Caps?
I received mine in the post from TT Stuff and the instructions are only in German.
I presumed the procedure would be straight forward however and thought that the four brown dots on the back face were the adhesive with a covering that needed to be removed to expose the sticky.
did that and noticed not much sticky stuff left, anyway attempted to fit one cap to the Hazard light button - pressed too hard and the button disappeared into the dash with hazard lights flashing.
They flashed for well over an hour as I tried to figure out how to retrieve the button - dismantled what seemed like the whole dash to get it back, and the button cap did not stick!
Has anyone fitted these successfully? and if so can you please advise the correct fitting procedure.
Also, what glue would be suitable to use on the cap that now has no adhesive?

Thanks in anticipation, kind regards, HINTZY

I ignored the hazard one. Small dabs of clear silicone would do it if the factory stick is gone..(Don't forget to line the hoes up on the seat heater switches!)

I definitely like it with the red one untouched.

How exactly do you line the hoes up? Do you just tell them "DAMN HOES! LINE UP!"

Yep, put the dash back together and just stuck them on, will also leave the hazard one as standard. Too easy in the end.
Nup, changed my mind, because the majority think the hazard button is best left alone was enough for me to fit it - paid for and received 5 trims, so fitted all of them and I'm happy to go against the flow.
More trim bits to come from the TT shop in the UK, will post photos of finished product when all are fitted.
This is addictive!
