Default Just replaced my coolant temp sensor, yay!, but noticed I have no plate under the engine anymore

Thanks to the info in this forum I was able to replace the coolant temperature sensor without any major problems. I haven't reset anything but I don't expect the check engine light to come back after I drive.

I noticed while i was working, that I lost the plastic underpan, and now I know when i lost it. While driving to Brooklyn i was on the highway and ran over it. thought it was a bump in the road, but had a feeling...... oh well.

I know atleast one person has replaced this, is it a necessary piece? and the scary part..how much?

TIA.

overall i'm happy about doing the CTS myself, slooowly getting there. next step is to buy a Bentley (guide)

Default wow, expensive. Oh well, I saved on doing the CTS so i guess i'll just pay it.

Is it a common problem that people face, having those come loose, or crack?

Also, what is the proper name for the part so I know what to do a search online for before going to the buyer. (and for doing a search for what people have to say about the part on AW)?

Default I just ordered the clips for my belly pan and they sent me the clips and a new pan.....

I was going to return it for credit. You could pay me and I would sent it to you. Get back to me and I will find out what it would cost to ship.
