Default Forget DVs.. there is a whole better world out there..

My car is running like ****, so I figured why not make it run a little worse.. A friend of mine just got BOVs but isn't ready to drop them in, so.. He let me throw one in after I begged and begged.. =)

I never thought I would have a BOV in my car, but I do.. and I love it.. =) It sounds great.. This is without a doubt the #1 ricer mod of the year.. Its a communication device for a turbocharged car, and it just whistles: RUN ME PUNK.. =) lol

I put a good 50-75 miles on it and no CEL, I will check for some codes tomorrow.. Its definitely the type of mod that puts a smile on your face everytime you hear that whooooshh.. whooooshh.. =) Its also good for a laugh..

It was definitely Jimmmy rigged but its not staying in there for too long so its not a big deal..

Default I'd love to have that sound, but I don't want to pay the $300 for the hybrid DV/BOV.

...And I don't want the rich conditions that you get with a straight BOV. It's a shame the hybrid is so expensive, but if you really like the sound, that's probably the best route.

Default Im with you, $300 is insane..

Im just borrowing it from my friend for a little while (I want to see how she runs).. I aways wanted to run a BOV in my car but couldn't justify the money.. Im going to run some vag tests tomorrow to see just how rich I am running.. Theoretically I should be running rich, but I need to test it out to see what she is doing.. If the setup runs well, Im buying one, because Im just sick of my 007P..

That would be cool with a loud intake like an Airetek or something

Default Was running a TurboXS H-RFL for a while..

which shames the HKS (IMO)in sound. Had to unplug the MAF to keep the car happy. Ran rich as hell too but sure was a lot of fun. I put it in every now and again to have fun with it...but found the car runs like a champ with the stock 710N valve.

Default Who makes the hybrid DV/BOV? I think I'd spend 300 bucks on one... I mean,

come on... It's a small price to pay to have all those little ricer boys worship you as you drive past.

But seriously though, who makes 'em?

Default I would like to know also. I just ordered a 007P, but I will return it if I can run a BOV/DV hybrid.

Safely, that is.
