Front passenger seat release latch not releasing

Front passenger seat release latch not releasing
If I lift the outside seat relase latch, the inner latch stays locked. If I lift the inner latch, both release and I can fold the seat forward. Can I fix this or is something broken that the dealer needs to fix. I am under warranty but hate taking my car in.

is your back seat folded down and pushing the front seat foward?
that happened on my car. the back seat put so much force foward on the seat that the switches couldn't release the seat. I ended up breaking the latch. Then i figured out that i just need to scoot the seat up foward before pulling the tab and it folded easily.
