Default Garage door remote(s) quit transmitting when inside TTQR

I've tried with three of them (Sears brand) - work fine before, but quit transmitting when in car; if I leave them out for a while, they work fine again. Happen to anyone else? Any ideas???

Thanks.
2001 TTQR

Default I believe it's the windshield

It also blocks things like those automatic toll tags, etc.

Something about the type of antennae built into the windshield that blocks the signal.

Also supposed to work real well at stopping/reducing the effectiveness of your radar detector as well.
Tom Boucher

Default The radio antenna is in the rear window. First 3 or 4 wires of the defroster. Sorry. :)
