Default Geico towing insurance -- best 8 bucks I've ever spent

My car had to go in for an alignment anyway, and since it's making a weird grinding noise from the front left, I figured I'd like to avoid any further potential damage and just have it towed. I don't technically have to pay for towing, other than the 8 dollar premium I pay on my insurance for towing coverage. What a deal.

The guy was extra careful though so I gave him a nice little tip for his efforts in the zero-degree weather.

Really hoping that noise is nothing serious, but I took another look at it again this morning and could not find anything out of whack... But who knows how much damage you can do by dropping the subframe...?

Not unlike the AAA service....they actually know to send me a flatbed whenever I call

Default Twice last year...both times for a flat...

The nice thing about this is that they were there in less than 30 minutes. I can't say enough about these guys.

Default My car is going to CPT Monday for alignment and corner balancing.

Also going to have Al see what the little noise is as I back up. I'm heading out of town and will drop mine on the way to the airport and pick it up next Thursday.

I have AAA but they take a couple of hours to ever show up.

Default good idea Rich, re-centering the sub frame is a job for a shop IIRC.

best of luck.

Geico took 4 hours, fwiw. I guess all the towing companies were busy with dead batteries.
