Default Got my hyperboost today... whats the easiest way to remove factory crimp on hose clamps???

I wish I had a flash light or shop light so I could install it tonight lol....

The instructions say to use tin snips (which I don't have) or needle nose pliers (which I might have but I'm not sure) to remove them. What it doesnt say is HOW you remove them. Are you supposed to cut them off??? pry them loose? Is there a trick to it?

whats the best/easiest way to do this... and what tools would I need to borrow lol.

thanks!!!

Use a small flathead screwdriver and pry them apart or loose

Default do you cut them where the the crimp 'bulge' is?

I guess... cause I don't see how you could cut them anywhere else without slicing up the hose.

thanks!

Default That's what I did.

Then you can use a small screwdriver to open them up. As you noted, you don't want to damage the hoses.

Default Get something to pry in there an wiggle it loose is the easiest

and best way IMO, that way you can reuse the clamps.

Default A back & forth action w/ cutters works or cut them off w/ a dremel<== my

personal favorite ! And yes cut the "bulge " part.
