Got my TT yesterday!
Well I've been hangin out in this forum for about a month under the name 'bmorlok' and last night I finally got my TT. It is a Lake silver 225 Quattro with premium sound and Nav with 51,000 miles. It is in great shape because the previous owner only used it to commute to work and back (I know this because I know the previous owner). Anyhow, The car is in great shape except for a small dent in the front left fender and the fuel gauge being off (hopefully it will remain the only faulty gauge). This is my first manual car (my girlfriend is better at shifting than me right now!) and my first car with any sort of real power in the engine. I drove it all of yesterday and it feels super quick and very smooth. I really love this car! It's now parked behind my behind my building (fenced in) in Baltimore.
The first addition to the car will be a Defi D boost & oil gauge. Then, I plan on getting the timing belt done at Induktion Motorsports because I heard they were pretty good over there. Then a chip, a VTDA or TTDA, and some new suspension when I get the money.
Other than that I wanted to say how great this forum is. Very good atmosphere and very smart enthusiasts!
PICS!

Congrats! On the fuel gauge..>>
It could be as simple as dirty senders. Run a bottle of Techron through the next 3 tanks and see if it comes back to life. Otherwise they can be removed and physically cleaned. Could be the $$ cluster too, but start with the senders... Good luck and welcome (again)

Okay! I'll try that - The fuel alert light still works perfectly though
I can live with the fuel gauge being off (It shows half full at empty and super full at full). Are the pods known to deteriorate more after the first gauge goes haywire?

There are some chronic problems...>>
With fuel senders and clusters. One doesn't cause the other, but could lead you to repair the wrong thing and not correct the problem. Start with the simplest and cheapest (senders) and go from there.....RoberTT has a how to in the FAQ's I believe.(click under my sig)
