If it is I'm going to be real tempted. Buck teeth and all. While we are talking about it--- DSG guys---- Does manual mode stay in the gear you select regardless? or does it downshift under heavy throttle? One of the things I love about our torquey 225s is the ability to accelerate in 5th and 6th without all the commotion and jerking of a downshift ?(like our tiptronic A6 does even in S mode) That is the main thing that makes me want a manual. Not available in the TTS in North America. :-(
But---4.9 sec 0-60, magnetic ride, $43,000. :-)<ul><li><a href="http://magazine.windingroad.com/windingroad/200807web/?folio=cover">http://magazine.windingroad.com/windingroad/200807web/?folio=cover</a</li></ul>

Sounds too good to be true....
...I thought the base MK II started in that price range. But I've never really priced one out. 0-60 in 4.9 secs with 265 hp and 3120 lbs sounds hard to believe too. dunno...

Figured the price would start a bit higher than that since the 3.2 is about $42k
but it's in the ballpark. Much closer than all of those earlier $60k+ estimates.
If only they'd bring the manual over...
