Just spoke to my sales guy today and:

1) I've got a VIN. Hooray! Just another 6 - 8 weeks...

2) Roadsters are apparently easy to get, with Audi giving out HUGE allocations of them to get them out there. In fact, last time around, Audi actually allocated them more than they had presold, so they actually had extras lying around for a few days (they TRIED to get a few Roadster allocations converted to coupes, but Audi said "no dice"...)

Friday, the sales manager at Key and I looked in detail at the allocations for August and September. They are getting 13 "roasters" and 10 were unsold.

With that in mind and the comments from patricklp, I can only assume that my dealer (the one that I have my order for a green 225TTR with) has no interest in getting me a car faster. I have an order for a 225TR green. I read here that someone just got just this car. Why didn't my dealer find try to get this one shipped? Wasn't it in the DC area? If I'm correct that means they really have on interest in serving me as fast as possible.

I guess this is just one more reason for me getting the TTR from Chicago on Friday! They seem willing to go the extra mile...I sure am. ;-)
