Default Grease oozing from Fenders....

Anybody seen this... I've got grease oozing from the driver's side rear fender/bumper seam over the wheel. The grease seems to be neutral in color but turns black when it encounters road grime, brake dust, etc. I live in houston and yes, it is hot here but I've never had a new car ooze grease before. Anybody know where this comes from and why it's only on the driver's side?

Glad I don't have that on my Fenders... or Gibsons, either.

Default I have had it seeping a little so that the seam becomes dirty a bit BUT

I saw a TTR at the dealer the other day that was oozing with it in 95 degree heat. They moved the car and there were two spots on the ground. It looks like the consistency of bearing grease mixed with Crisco.

This is rustproofing, right?

Default You got to wonder what the rocket scientist responsible for such things is doing while he is

supposed to be working. I would say that it is slightly inexcusable to own a 42 Kbuck car that oozes cosmoline at all, let alone a year after being put into service. Perhaps it is the same guy who designed the DV, the electrical system, fuel sensors and other wonderfully reliable parts.

Default what's cosmoline, why is it in the fenders to start with and don't forget the

brilliant TTR elbow activated storage compartment in the list of stupidest design features.

Default Not just new cars. This happened to my '93 VW on a 90+ degree day last year >

Washing and waxing didn't take it off. Thanks to the info on this forum i tried Mothers clay bar and it worked great.
