Default Ummm... TUV is the German equivalent to our UL... (more)

There are other agencies other than TUV that will test and certify compliance to whatever standard the manufacturer wishes to mark the product with. TUV is a test house that will certify compliance of a product to a wide variety of standards - they started out as safety test house (like our UL) but has now seen the light and are cashing in on certifying just about anything to any standard just to make a buck. Just because it has a TUV mark on it, does not neccesarily make that product better than one that does not - that TUV mark that the vendor may make so prominant may be nothing more than saying the paint complied with a standard. If such safety markings are important to you, make sure read the declaration of conformity to see what the TUV (or whatever agengy mark is used) mark really signifies.

Default On their website its advertised: 'O.CT is a TUV-verified company....'

Don't think where the company is located matters. I'm guessing this website may need some updating, who knows.
