Default That sucks. Do you use a radar detector? If yes, which one?

In my state we can go to "driving school" to erase a ticket. Can only do this once every so many years.

Default Yes... I beat 86 in a 65 (double fine) and reckless driving....

Cop didn't show up because he lied in his statement to make it more dramatic, but NJ state troopers now wear "wires", synced to their in car cams because they've had so many incidents.

Default All depends on the municipality you got it in.

Here in St. Louis, you just pay a lawyer $150 and it is done, it gets reduced to excessive vehicular noise (noisy muffler) which equals zero points unless you have a laundry list of priors. It is a total scam, but it is great. There are even Traffic Law Centers, where lawyers just sit there and wait for people to get tickets and go pay them $150 to "fix" them as we say in St. louis.

Default

Get a lawyer and you'll probably get it down a couple points at least.

If your driving record is clean, you have a good chance of getting probation before verdict. If you have no additinal driving infractions for a period of time, ususlly 90 days, the entire case is dropped. Also, maybe the cop won't show, and then you can say just about anything and get off.

Default I got hit doing 90 in a 65 with my wife in the car Ooops but got a lawyer and paid 135...

Funny thing....When the cop stoped me he stated I cant blame you at all in a car like that...I didnt have my insurance card or state tags either. He kept looking at the Silver Roadster and oogling over the baseball interior. Told me to get the others taken car of and upon leaving stated Nice Car Though...

Default Depends on which state. CT now, if you pay the fine in a few weeks, you get

no points. Go to court, get points and fine lowered, your record still shows a conviction...I paid mine an hour after I got it. Insurance bill came; no increase. Check your state DMV webpage and do a little research before you automatically fight it.

If you want to totally beat it, you really need some extenuating circumstances...what did they nail you with, radar-laser, etc. Did you ask to see a print out if laser, you need something to go on.
