I would tell him that you don't race on the streets, as it's illegal, the fines are very high, and it can be dangerous. However, if you autocross, invite him to come along, so that you can have some fun in a safe and legal environment.

yeah..but a 1900lb 220Hp rocket is gonna give you a good pounding, anybody

yeah I went against a 350hp Integra...running a turbo and NOS and it
was gutted for lightweight, it also had custom engine managment work done..when he laid down the NOS in 2nd gear...I got beat really badly...Ive done alot of work on Hondas and Acuras...those cars are incredibly durable and can take huge hp increases quite well. Other than terminal torque steer they are quite easy to tune..so if you gotta drag one...my advice do it from a roll on as most of them even the tuned ones are lacking in alot of torque..so get him low down in the powerband..otherwise if its a tuned force fed vtec itll get ugly..if you go from the lights dont get to close as the real high hp ones can get alittle unruly off the line and all that torque goin to the front wheels might cause him to come over for alittle visit if you know what i mean. But Brads advice is good to..If you gotta do it..keep it safe.

Well, if you're a good enough driver, you can beat the guy at autocross. It's not all about power and weight, though those factors obviously come into play. If he's not too experienced, a guy/gal in a TT could smoke him.
Besides, he might not take you up on it anyway. At least it's a way to get out of the situation gracefully without looking like a wuss, and putting yourself into a "race" that is safe, fun, legal and where you'd have a legitimate chance against a potentially inexperienced driver.
