Has anyone added silicone around the waterpump on re-install?

Has anyone added silicone around the waterpump on re-install?
I did, just as a backup to the o-ring where it mates to the block. I used some steel wool to clean up the area more and put it back together for the second time in a week. The TB went on way easier this time, and I don't have to deal with the motor mounts as I was able to get in there.
